Investing in Children, Investing in the Future!

Today, Mrs Martin came to help us bake some bread, just like Thomas Farriner made it back in 1666 at the time of the Great Fire of London.
The children had to measure their flour carefully, add water and yeast and then wait for the yeast to work its 'magic' and make the dough rise!
After lunch, the children kneaded and shaped their dough into round balls to make rolls and put some into a rectangular tin to make a small loaf!
We baked them in the oven – the smells were delicious!
We’ll be having them with our tea tonight - yum yum!
Thank you Mrs Martin for helping us to learn today – we had great fun!
