Eco Club Hoverfly Heroes

The first job of the year for our Eco Club was to create a hoverfly lagoon. These are pools of shallow water where fallen leaves create the perfect breeding ground for many of the overfly species which have aquatic larvae.

The idea came from an initiative by the RHS and Wildlife Trusts.
