Investing in Children, Investing in the Future!
On Tuesday 11th November, St Johns School held their annual Remembrance Service in The Royal Chapel.
The Year 6 children led the service alongside Rev. Mark Radcliffe – presenting readings, the poem “In Flanders Fields”, reading names from the roll of honour and saying prayers.
At 11am two minutes silence was held followed by laying a wreath on behalf of the children, the staff and parents of the school.
Because of the atrocious weather it was not possible for the two minutes silence to be held around the St Johns Memorial, so this year it was done inside the church. But afterwards the youngest and oldest children in the school went outside to place the school wreath on the memorial.
