Learning with the Shearwaters - Autumn 2025

The Shearwaters’ STEAM project coincided with Hop tu Naa, so they created ‘moot’ shadow puppets. We recapped the terms translucent, transparent and opaque, and tested which materials would be best for their shadow puppets. The children then designed their ‘moot’ shadow puppets and constructed them. Those who do not celebrate Hop tu Naa created their own designs.
