Investing in Children, Investing in the Future!

The role of the Governors is to act as a ‘critical friend’ in overseeing the curriculum, appointing staff, setting agreed targets and monitoring the Head’s performance.

The Governors are made up of a Chairperson, who is an elected member of the Education Council, one elected Parent Governor and one elected Teacher Governor. In addition further Governors from the community are co-opted by the elected Governors.

The Governors are subject to a bi-annual election, with the exception of the Chairperson who serves for a period of 5 years.

The Headteacher is not a Governor but acts in an advisory capacity. The school administrator also acts as the secretary to the Governors.

The Governing Body:

Education Council Representative Joff Whitten
Parent Governor Matt Parsons
Teacher Governor Emma Titley
Co-opted Governor Andrew Lees
